Coral AQB-10-C With Construction
The age of coral AQB-10-C is 3600 years, based on radiocarbon dating (14C). This means the coral colony grew around 3600 years ago for a while (several years to decades). Collected by Coral Paleoclimatologist Dr. Thomas Feliz and Dr. Saber Al-Rousan at Aqaba (Jordan)at the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba, the northeastern extension of the northern Red Sea. Estimated by its size this Porites coral colony grew for a time interval of about 20 to 30 years, 3600 years ago.
